Faith, hope and love must carry us through and yet we are nothing other than humankind. Amidst all, how things happen and why they happen might be hard to explain many a time.

Obama’s victory in the presidential election could even be a magnifying glass to much cherished glory of the American democracy.

More-so, because we are in a learning and increasingly interdependent world. After all we have seen or heard in past and recent times, nobody needs to tell this great nation “SHE HAS TO SIT UP” to responsibility of world leadership, which doesn’t exclude the courage to show needed good examples carrying the world along in the fulfillment of the glory of that which She stands for: the ability to see beyond; that is, to also transcend barriers including the “racial” in order to make American dream living and less pretentious, but pragmatic in all inclusive senses - beyond the theoretical].

That is why the “exceptionalism” of American democracy is now at the cross-roads of proving itself - for it would be a shame and that we have seen for too long - the result of saying one thing and doing quite the other! It is the hour to dare believe that Americans of all creeds have come-of- time now; that is, aware of the fact that their idea of dream is a dependent variable, among others on internal unity, racial harmony, good sense of purpose with governance. The new era we find ourselves should not tell them any other story than just this: “united we stand and divided we fall”!

We all can forgive the outgoing administration, but truly now is the time for change and Obama is the gift from above for that change as he has come this far. There is therefore, something intrinsic in the division of this short article into parts (1) and (11), which to me signify Obama’s victory from the Primaries to be crowned now after the real contest we have seen. That he has jumped the huddles - there is no-more doubt and there sits the hope in spite of attitudes [two different things]!

The gifts of nature are many and Obama was born with that in his own way which perhaps makes HIM what we see him to be - one like many able to stand up tall at challenges! I am sure America is happy to have him but it takes time often to discover and until then …! He has, in spite of hesitation been discovered a treasure to be at last. Now that everything seems to happen at its own time against all the odds “dirty trickish strategies” cannot just overturn the powers that be from above in a “believing” America!

Looking at various histories of “blacks in diaspora”, we must be hopeful so long as we live in a learning world. Britain and many other countries with colonial pasts have been doing what they can to better the status-quo, matched by others like Sweden even without colonial links] that also appointed a black female minister a member of the cabinet. While others still have much to learn and do for the world we all live in and share, some are already showing the examples necessary for upliftment strengthening faith, hope and love - that only in America, when good, has this overriding effect.

We congratulate both presidential candidates with their respective vice candidates, especially the Obama team the gallops conducted tip for winning. All join the “God bless America” chorus and request them appreciate the light given them that they see beyond for a better America unto better and more peaceful and prosperous World. All in all there are and have been many spiritual workers on this course, I must confess!

The DWT Predictions For Tomorrow

these are premised on there being no electoral fraud from our friends on the right. it always amazes me that the democrats send out hordes of lawyers to guard voters from the hordes of lawyers the gop sends out to disenfranchise people. something i’ll never forget in my sprightliness was how a then-young scrap fascist drama of shit, willy rehnquist, was a lawyer assigned to mind minority voters from casting ballots in phoenix in the early ’60s. it was the first off time i at all heard of him. the republican party rewarded him with a series of jobs and eventually nixon appointed him to the supreme court, where he was the most far right extremist on the court, reason plenty for the sake of reagan to make him chief justice. he’s currently slowly roasting in hell. anyway… ignore to the predictions.since i started yammering down the supreme court out of the depressed, let’s get going with the senate, since they will have to advise and acquiescence to president obama’s nominations if we should be so blessed and see scalia, thomas, roberts and alito all fall into a shark tank and get torn to bits before anyone thinks about frugal their worthless carcasses.unfortunately, no democrats will misplace their seats, so we will be stuck with utterly reactionary swine like mark pryor (ar) and mary landrieu (la) for 6 more years. the most likely democrats to finish first in are both contesting open seats. i hope bruise signify warner (va) turns out to be a reasonable like jim webb has and not a dickhead reactionary. i’ll hope for the to the fullest extent and be ready for the worst from this guy. the other indubitable thing is one of the best candidates the democrats have this year, tom (not mark) udall (nm). he’s on the way to routing extreme reactionary-wing knuckle-dragger steve pearce, who is a stock-owned subsidiary of big oil and was– aside from cornyn– their biggest caper of 2008 ($314,234), bigger still than crooked oil whores inhofe, mcconnell and landrieu. tom is a solid progressive with great ideas for moving america support. let’s desire he has more influence on his cousin in the senate than he did in the house. and, in fact, that cousin, raise udall (co), is the third sure senate winner tomorrow, also for an open republican seat.even alaskans aren’t contrary enough to re-chosen a convicted felon and appraise a write down begich has been in front in every solitary select poll this cycle. and that brings us to the tougher races. the best of the likely winners– by without a doubt– is the chain who should get paul wellstone’s desk, jeff merkley (or). we should look for merkley to join bernie sanders, sherrod brown and russ feingold to fight an eye to the interests of working families and for the re-establishment of constitutional law. jeanne shaheen (nh), a middling moderate, should be fighting a re-choice battle but in 2004 rove engineered a theft of the supplementary hampshire senate election– and possibly an airplane accident in minnesota– to provide bush a senate majority. this year new hampshire voters will orthodox that injustice by retiring john sununu from public life. as i explained earlier, elizabeth dole killed her own re-choice prospects with her out-of-bounds negative campaigning and right of center hack kay hagan (nc), an improvement over dole by all means, will wrap up up a u.s. senator. norm coleman has tried painting al franken (mn) a left-winger; we should be so lucky! he’s a solid, decent moderate… and likely to win the minnesota senate hinie tomorrow. that brings us to 8 pick-ups. even if you lust after to count lieberman as a democrat, which is silly, that still doesn’t give reid the clout to tell a filibuster without labourers from olympia snowe (r-me) or, self-possessed less liable to, arlen specter (r-pa). are there any other shots? there are two toss-ups. jim martin (ga), a so so moderate. i have a first hand report from a friend that just came in via im:i stood in line 6 hours on friday, after trying to franchise all week for less than that time, and it never happened… most of the people around me, and i mean most were democrats… very few republicans in north fulton county. let me revise… lots of republicans in north fulton county. problem is, none are voting as they did in 2000 and 2004! georgia goes blue… georgia goes blue… thats my early call based on what i’ve seen. of procedure, i’ve been saying that for weeks, but i believe it after friday. people in shilling-mark were really vocal about for whom they were voting. so this wasn’t just a guessing game.ok, ma …

Does The Premier League Need Socialism ?

The English Premier League generated an income of £1.8 billion in the 2007-08 season. This is much higher than the amount generated by clubs in Spain and Italy.

Marshall university football

But a huge chunk of the Premier League’s total income was generated by the ‘Big 4′, which highlights the gap between them and the other English clubs in revenue generation and hence the quality gap.

To make the Premier League more competitive, various measures need to be adopted to ensure more equitable distribution of income.

Some proposals that should be considered:

These measures will certainly have a big impact on the ‘Big 4′ and Manchester City, who will provide most of this extra revenue to other clubs. The impact will be uneven. It will effect Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool more than Chelsea and Manchester City as Abramovich and ADUG are not going to let a few million dollars stop them from signing the players they want.

If such measures are enacted they will have an adverse effect on the ability of promoted clubs to remain in the Premier League.

Nobody can deny that the Premier League is exciting, but do you think that measures need to be taken to increase the competitiveness of the Premier League? What sort of measures?

Obama, McCain: Worldviews Apart on America and Her Enemies

Your Ad Here

Obama’s Roots: When Many of Obama’s Associates and Advisers Are Anti-American and Anti-Israel, What Will Obama’s Policy Be?

Obama in native garb

UPDATE - 2150 EDT at end of story.

An Obama Victory Doesn’t mean America Won’t Still Have Enemies It only means that they will find an America More Willing to let them Have their way

Great Britains’s Melanie Phillips can’t quite believe “Is America really going to do this?“. She begins by comparing John McCain and Barack Obama.

“…the only way to assess their position is to look at each man in the round, at what his general attitude is towards war and self-defence, aggression and appeasement, the values of the west and those of its enemies and ? perhaps most crucially of all ? the nature of the advisers and associates to whom he is listening. As I have said before, I do not trust McCain; I think his judgment is erratic and impetuous, and sometimes wrong. But on the big picture, he gets it. He will defend America and the free world whereas Obama will undermine them and aid their enemies.”

Here’s why. McCain believes in protecting and defending America as it is. Obama tells the world he is ashamed of America and wants to change it into something else. McCain stands for American exceptionalism, the belief that American values are superior to tyrannies. Obama stands for the expiation of America’s original sin in oppressing black people, the third world and the poor.

Obama thinks world conflicts are basically the west’s fault, and so it must right the injustices it has inflicted. That’s why he believes in ?soft power’ ? diplomacy, aid, rectifying ?grievances’ (thus legitimising them, encouraging terror and promoting injustice) and resolving conflict by talking. As a result, he will take an axe to America’s defences at the very time when they need to be built up. He has said he will ?cut investments in unproven missile defense systems’; he will ?not weaponize space’; he will ?slow our development of future combat systems’; and he will also ?not develop nuclear weapons,’ pledging to seek ?deep cuts’ in America’s arsenal, thus unilaterally disabling its nuclear deterrent as Russia and China engage in massive military buildups.

McCain understands that an Islamic war of conquest is being waged on a number of diverse fronts which all have to be seen in relation to each other. For Obama, however, the real source of evil in the world is America. The evil represented by Iran and the Islamic jihadists is apparently all America’s fault. ?A lot of evil’s been perpetuated based on the claim that we were fighting evil,’ he said. Last May, he dismissed Iran as a tiny place which posed no threat to the US — before reversing himself the very next day when he said Iran was a great threat which had to be defeated. He has also said that Hezbollah and Hamas have ?legitimate grievances’. Really? And what might they be? Their grievances are a) the existence of Israel b) its support by America c) the absence of salafist Islam in the world. Does Obama think these ?grievances’ are legitimate?

Phillips, with an outsider’s eye, correctly sees the stark differences between John McCain, whom the press and Obama campaign have portrayed as “erratic”, and Barack Obama, a candidate whose main qualification, according to the media, is his ability to “appear presidential”.

If Obama is elected, then America will get to see if Joe Biden’s “guarantee” of an international crisis is correct. No

Obesity ‘lifts inflammation risk’

Obesity and lack of fitness raise the risk of illness by impacting negatively on the body’s internal chemistry, research suggests.

A US team found levels of white blood cells were highest in men who were unfit and overweight.

White blood cells are key to fighting infection, but high levels can be a sign of inflammation, which is linked to coronary heart disease.

The study appears in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

A team from the Pennington Biomedical Research Center carried out tests on 452 healthy men who were taking part in a long-term study of fitness.

Blood tests were taken, and analysed for their content of various types of white blood cell.

‘Joe the Plumber’ happy to help in debate

After taking account of age, the researchers found that all groups of white blood cell were lowest in the men who were most physically fit.

The greater proportion of body fat a man had, the higher his white blood cell count was.

Total white cell count was highest in men who had a combination of higher body fat and lower levels of physical fitness.

Levels were also high among men with lower body weight but lower levels of fitness.

However, a high degree of physical fitness negated the effect of extra body fat.

Key role

White cell counts tend to rise after a bout of vigorous exercise, but the researchers said regular exercise might condition the body to respond more efficiently to the physical demands made of it.

Lead researcher Professor Tim Church said it was clear that inflammation played a key role in heart disease and other illnesses, but the factors which drove it were still relatively unclear.

He said: “There is nothing worse than a risk factor that an individual cannot modify, but here are two risk factors - obesity and fitness - which they can do something about.”

June Davison, cardiac nurse at the British Heart Foundation, said: “These findings add to evidence that regular physical activity and keeping close to a healthy weight have huge benefits for your heart health.”

And John Brewer, performance director at the Lucozade Sport Science Academy in Slough, stressed that an unhealthy lifestyle posed “real dangers” to health.

He said: “Whilst studies like this one, and initiatives from the government and health-promotion agencies, can raise awareness of the risks, ultimately it is down to individuals to chose a lifestyle and habits that give them the best chance of leading a healthy viagra ohne rezept, active life.”
